The federal government recently announced a range of new grant programs. The grants are designed to support the implementation and understanding of energy efficiency alongside the carbon price implementation.
The funding will be distributed through local councils, not-for-profits and associations.

Energy Efficiency Information Grants
Eligible activities include:
- “Activities to disseminate products such as websites, seminars, webinars, site visits, audits, training courses, advice hotlines and branding, benchmarking or incentive schemes.”

Community Energy Efficiency Program
Eligible activities include:
- “Energy audits or assessment; Monitoring and reporting”

Low Income Energy Efficiency Program
Eligible activities include:
- “Salaries and on-costs; products or equipment; information technology costs; travel; professional, consultant or subcontractor services; administration of the project.”
