The Course in Home Sustainability Assessment enables graduates to provide advice to householders on how to reduce their impact on the environment. This program covers the key topic areas of: sustainability assessments, energy consumption, water use, waste and recycling, garden and environs, and lifestyle choices. The course also covers customer service, OH&S and auditing methods. Nominal duration of the course: 80 hours
To be awarded the qualification in Home Sustainability Assessment learners must complete all two (2) units of competency. Participants who exit the program without completing all the units will be given a Statement of Attainment for those units satisfactorily completed.
1. Conduct sustainability assessments in residential dwellings (unit code VU20789)
