Choosing between the FLIR i7 and FLIR i3?
After a review of all thermal imaging options we found that the FLIR i7 had the best balance of price vs. features. We recommend this camera in most cases, however, the FLIR i3 is suitable for basic thermal imaging needs (for example, electricians inspecting switchboards).
While the resolution of the FLIR i7 may not seem very high at 120 x 120 – this is in fact higher than many other models (including the i3 which is 60 x 60). At this resolution you can see enough detail in the images without having to spend up to $10,000 for the higher resolution models.
